Great Wall recalls 91 units Wingle light-duty trucks for safety problem

Great Wall Motors will recall 91 units of the 2006 Wingle light-duty trucks which were produced from April 20 to April 25, 2009 for safety problems.

China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) made the announcement in a statement Monday.

According to the notice, the types of the recalled trucks are: CC 1021 PA 03; CC 1021 PS 03; CC 1021 PS 05; CC 1031 PA 45; CC 1031 PS 25; CC 1031 PS 64; and CC 1031 PS 41.

The announcement also said, because the seatbelts of the recalled trucks do not function well when emergency brakes are applied, which may injure the driver and passengers. The company will repair the recalled trucks and change the seatbelts in the front seats to eliminate the possibility of further injury.
