Yin's works stir a discussion of "the young sadness" among artists born in the 70s, and represent the emotional features culturally associated with that generation.

His "young and cruel painting" style was the vanguard of the 90s, which led to experiments in storytelling and imagery.

Whether or not their art is your cup of tea, both Zhou and Yin have made a pretty penny in the business.

The two giants in their field have been on the prestigious Hurun Art List for three consecutive years.

Zhou ranked 8th this year with a sales volume of 52.62 million yuan while Yin, weighing in at 48, grossing 9.63 million yuan.
