The three young musicians were selected by Tan himself from his "Young People's Proj-ect: Reinventing the Future."

"It is not only intended to reach out to young audiences and promote classical music, but also to work with young artists worldwide. Working with young people to promote creative talent is something I believe in strongly," said Tan.

"I'm totally dedicated to helping the next generation of artists, designers and creators and share a commitment to always strive for the highest quality, to stay faithful to what we believe in, and always to be true to our inner selves," he added.

The Martial Arts Trilogy concerts will be one of the major events of the Shanghai Expo, bridging modern culture and traditional Chinese philosophy as well as celebrating the future of classical music with the artists of tomorrow.
