Over the next 30 years organizers plan to invite 800 artists to produce designs for special edition watches. The president of the Swatch Group, George Nicolas Hayek, said this investment in Shanghai was special because "the very first Omega clock in China was erected at the old Shanghai railway station in 1895."

Another Swiss brand Mido, is staying a national event under the title of "Found Inspiration Prove Eternal." The company is asking people to help inspire the design of a Mido watch by submitting their won photographs or paintings.
