"The film is reminiscent of The Matrix but is much less plot-driven and a little bit more obscure. My boyfriend loved the film very much and went back to see it again. I thought it was quite well-made (it looks expensive) with Ellen Page the stand-out actress. I was also very happy to see something that wasn't released in 3-D."

"The film was difficult to understand at first, though eventually things became clear. It was really good to finally see an intelligent movie, one that actually makes you use your brain. Leonardo Di Caprio, who was very good in the film, presented the darker side of dreaming and the final scenes were epic."

"There are inspiring ideas, but perhaps not the spectacular achievement most people are suggesting. It is understandable that the film got a lot of hype, but I am not sure that the film is as complex as has been suggested. Once the interesting first part of the film was over, things became a little too forced, with too much explanation of the 'system' of dreaming, and not enough attention paid to the characters. Still, a fine achievement and very much worth a visit to the cinema."
