Expo holiday pleases most workers

A majority 54 percent of survey respondents nodded the approaching government-proposed extended May Day holiday this weekend.

About 52 percent of respondents from the Oriental Morning Post study, however, said they believed that most employees would not benefit from the occasion due to having to work anyway.

Of those respondents who do not have to clock in during the additional two-day leave this year, 44 percent said they plan to leave the city for a vacation while another 30 percent said they plan to make use of the additional time off work by relaxing at home.
