After days of lower-than-expected visitors, organizers yesterday cancelled its real-time updates on the number of attendees at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.

The updates, which were previously available every 30 to 60 minutes on its official website to help visitors gauge crowds, will now only be given once daily at 5:30 pm.

The Expo has seen an average of 160,000 daily visitors during its first five days, less than the 400,000 daily visitors previously anticipated.
