Authentic no-show

China Pavilion officials yesterday quashed rumors that the authentic version of the famous Chinese painting Life Along the River on Tomb-Sweeping Day, considered to be one of the artistic highlights of the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, would be exhibited on National Day (October 1).

But officials of the pavilion, which currently shows an image of the Northern Song Dynasty artwork, promised that other historic cultural relics would be amassed inside.
