Foreign visitor tally

Japanese, Korean and French visitors have accounted for the largest number of foreigners visiting the city since the opening of the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, according to the Shanghai Airport Frontier Inspection Station Monday.

Some 410,000 Japanese have visited, up 59 percent from the same time last year, while 220,000 Koreans have come to Shanghai, a rise of 34 percent for the same period. Meanwhile, 57,000 French visitors were counted, a figure up 61 percent from last year.
