But, the owner, a woman surnamed Li, who teaches at the school, which her daughter also attends, said that she is doing what she can for the children, teaching them Chinese through pinyin (a Chinese phonetic system) daily.

"I already told the committee they can come in and take the kids away if they want," she told the Global Times Saturday. "But, there is no way that they will do that - they know that if they do these children will have nowhere else to go."

Meanwhile, the neighborhood committee has contacted district education authorities to raise the issue, but the district officials, who are responsible for the matter, said that they cannot do anything about the situation, said the Party secretary of the committee.
