Qingming Riverside premiered at the Hong Kong Cultural Center in July, 2007, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The dance spectacular won the 2008 Hong Kong Dance Award, and has toured major cities around China.

The staging of Qingming Riverside resonates with the exhibition of the electronic version of Along the River During the Qingming Festival, the most valuable exhibit in the China Pavilion at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
