On March 13, the 4th Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade and carnival was celebrated on Yandang Road, Luwan District. It was the major event during the 2010 Ireland Week from March 12 to March 21. The parade and carnival was in an advance celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, which falls on March 17 and is one of the most significant dates in the Irish calendar. This event was organized by Le Chéile (the Irish community of Shanghai) together with the Irish Consulate and the Luwan District Government.
