Global Times: From the US/Australian perspective, what does the US’ putting more importance on China stand for? What influence it will bring to China-US/China-Australia relations? Will Australia adjust its foreign policy according to the development of the current Sino-US relationship? If so, what is the adjustment?

Ravenhill: We see no problem at all. We are very much in favor of good relations amongst all countries in the region. Certainly we don’t feel neglected by President Obama’s visiting China.
