Global Times: Will Obama stop selling weapons to Taiwan?

Chang: I think that will be a long-term problem. I think President Obama, whether he wants or not, cannot change the decision by himself. History has been made for more than 30 years, so this will be a long-term issue. This is one of the issues that needs to be ironed out. The unification of China is an eventuality. No one can stop that historical trend. But how it comes about and under what circumstances it would come about, and how the US views this issue is a historical issue, which cannot be solved by one president in one visit.
