From April 18 to 21, 2006, Chinese President Hu Jintao paid a state visit to US. The two sides agreed that China and the US share extensive and important common strategic interests, not only being stakeholders, but also constructive cooperators. They should maintain and promote world peace, stability, and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.
