They've been equipped with life-detection technology and rescue dogs. Two Il-76 aircraft have arrived at Yushu airport.

One plane carried rescuers and equipment from the national earthquake rescue team in Beijing, while the other delivered 100 rescue workers from a mine exploration team, stationed in Chengdu.

287 health personnel, dispatched by the Ministry of Health, have already arrived in the region.

China's People's Liberation Army Air Force has deployed three large planes to transport rescuers and relief materials to Yushu. In addition, the first special train carrying 10,000 cotton coats has set off to Xining, capital city of Qinghai Province.
