About 30 monks have been studying martial arts and Buddhism at the Simian Mountain Shaolin Temple since it opened in September 2015 in Jiangjin District, Southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality. The monks begin their studies at 5:30 am every day. Some train in wushu while others study Buddhist texts. Photos: VCG
