Editor's Note:
Qianxi county in Southwest China’s Guizhou Province left poverty behind in 2017. Bijie was once a poor city, but has experienced massive change after it was pinpointed as a trial zone for poverty alleviation measures by the State Council in 1988. Global Times reporters recently visited the Bijie Trial Zone. (Photos: Li Hao/GT)
After the development of the new countryside and targeted poverty alleviation efforts, Haizi is clean and orderly. It has been rated as “the most suitable village for living in the country”.
