Ten hikers who were trapped by avalanches in Changji, Northwest China's #Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region have been rescued. The hikers were trapped in a mountainous area at an altitude of 3,500 meters, after avalanches hit a town in Changji on Monday. They were successfully rescued Tuesday by two helicopter crews and transported to Urumqi, the regional capital of Xinjiang.Photos: courtesy of Wu Shike
