Editor's Note:
Chinese parents set high standards for education, and spend plenty of time pushing kids to study.
Parents and grandparents in Chinese families all contribute to creating favorable conditions for kids to study. They not only take care of all household chores, but also stay with children as the youngsters study and attend afterschool classes. Some parents even quit their jobs to take care of children full time.
Experts say that so much attention could harm the children, making them dependent on parents to care of everything for them.
These photos captured during the past four years show vivid images of Chinese parents in Wuhan, Central China’s Hubei Province, making great efforts to cultivate their children with high expectations.
