US confirms participation in Shanghai Expo

The United States Friday confirmed its participation in the 2010 Shanghai World Expo by signing an agreement with the organizer.
The contract made the United States the 212th nations and international organizations that have decided to take part in the largest world expo to be held between May and October next year in Shanghai.
The United States is facing a lot of challenges to participate the 2010 Shanghai World Expo mainly due to cost concerns.

And in this case this voice of Secretary Hilary Clinton makes it clear basically to the country that it is a very important event that we have to be involved and participate in.”
Jose H. Villarreal also revealed that the United States will built pavilion on its own. The budget is 61 million US dollars, half of which has been received.
He also revealed the theme of the pavilion which is “celebrating 2030”. The core concepts of the theme include sustainable development, teamwork spirits, healthy living style, striving and achievements.
