The International Cuisine Culture Forum and Carnival will kick off on Friday at the Jiangfu Culture Square and Langyuan Station Culture Park in Beijing's Chaoyang district. The theme of this year's activities is "A Bite of the
Belt and Road Initiative."
Sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau and the government of the Chaoyang district, the carnival is the first of a series of events to be held in Chaoyang as part of the 2019 China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS).
The food carnival will run from Friday to Sunday and will be open every day from 10:00 am to 22:00 PM. More importantly, it will be open to the public free of charge.
An international array of delicacies will be on display this time, like French foie gras, Italian ham and cheese, Greek olive oil and Bulgarian rose jam. Local Chinese food and snacks like fried dumplings and pork chops will also be available at the carnival.
In addition to delicious food, the event organizer is also preparing other activities like cultural salons, food carving and a music party.
Formerly known as the Beijing Textile Warehouse, Langyuan Station has now become a creative culture park that covers an area of 135,000 square meters. Just two kilometers from Beijing's famous 798 Art Zone, Langyuan Station aims to become a new fashionable cultural landmark in Beijing.
