Airbus
Airbus has launched a global campaign celebrating the company's 50th anniversary and showcasing key moments of its pioneering progress over the past five decades.
The campaign began Wednesday by marking 50 years since the French Minister of Transport, Jean Chamant, and the German Minister of Economic Affairs, Karl Schiller, signed an agreement at the 1969 Paris Air Show for the joint-development of the A300 aircraft, a first European twin-aisle twin-engine jet for medium-haul air travel.
Running from Wednesday to July 17, the campaign will bring stories to life through new, engaging content published across Airbus channels.
Emirates
Emirates said Monday that all features on the Emirates app are now available in Arabic, bringing the total number of languages supported to 19. The Emirates app currently receives an average of 600,000 monthly downloads and allows users to search, book and manage their flights as well as their Emirates Skywards accounts.
Emirates is the only airline globally to have its mobile app available in 19 languages, including Arabic, English and simplified Chinese.
In recent years, the airline has been using analytical and customer behavior insights to constantly improve its digital channels. Last financial year, a quarter of all ticket sales were made on its web and mobile channels and over 40 percent of customers checked in online for their flights.
Austrian Airlines
Austrian Airlines said passengers now can use the new digital LoungeNet offer in all Austrian Airlines lounges at Vienna Airport. Immediately after connecting to the lounge Wi-Fi, travelers can access the Austrian LoungeNet portal, where they can find useful information on lounge services. Passengers can, for example, learn about entertainment programs available on board or find information about lounge catering. Austrian LoungeNet offers guests a large selection of eJournals and individual travel guides.
The design of the Austrian LoungeNet is based on that of FlyNet, the internet on board the Austrian Airbus fleet. LoungeNet is only accessible through the Wi-Fi at Austrian lounges.
Juneyao Air
Juneyao Air said Tuesday that it will open a direct flight from Shanghai to Helsinki on June 28 with a Boeing 787-9.

The company currently has 72 aircraft, including A320 and Boeing787-9 planes, and has extended its network to more than 120 routes around the world.
