Police were surprised to find a car with a paint job that looks very similar to one of China's actual police vehicles during their daily patrol in Beijing's Tongzhou district on Friday. 

According to a video posted by The Beijing News on Sina Weibo on Monday, the car is the same color and has the same stripping as a police car but the emblem on the doors show a cartoon character instead of the insignia of a police department.

The man's car also has the un-police like Chinese characters for "calm down," and "low-key" painted on the hood.

After questioning the driver, Beijing police determined the car was from North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the driver had not received a certificate allowing it to be driven in China's capital. The video doesn't show the car's plate which indicate where it was registered. 

The car's owner admitted he didn't inform local traffic management authorities in Inner Mongolia that he was driving to Beijing. 

Beijing police impounded the car and ordered the owner to get a new paint job.
