Two schoolboys from Central China were recently seen doing their homework outside while sitting on stone stairs a few meters from a road.
"It is really unbearable for us to do homework at home," said Li, a grade-five student in Changsha, Central China's Hunan Province, tells a woman who is making a video.
Li tells the woman that his parents nag him too much and, his dad asks him to practice handwriting after he finishes his homework.
The other boy surnamed Wang, who said he is in grade six, nods his head in agreement and adds that it is really boring doing homework at home and he prefers to study with friends rather than being alone at home.
The Pear Video says the boys spend one to two hours on their homework, before going home to watch TV.
"Children really dislike parents' excessive concerns and nagging, which can produce the opposite of the intended result," a netizen said on Sina Weibo, showing sympathy for the two kids.
"They might finish their homework casually and carelessly as it is hard to concentrate at the noisy roadside," said another.
