BoeingBoeing and SAC Commercial Aircraft Company (SACC) celebrated the 1,000th vertical fin leading edge ship set delivery for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner in Shenyang, Northeast China's Liaoning Province, on October 25.
The leading edge panels and tip caps that the SACC produces comprise a major section of the vertical tail fin of the 787.
The SACC has produced airplane components for Boeing since 1990, starting with cargo doors for the 757 and expanding to complex empennage manufacturing. In addition to the leading edge and tip for the 787 Dreamliner's vertical fin, the company also supplies 777 and 777X empennage tips and the 737 Section 48 through a contract with Spirit Aerosystems.
Emirates Emirates recently officially unveiled its newly refurbished airport lounge at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, offering refreshed levels of comfort, hospitality and convenience to Emirates First and Business Class customers as well as Platinum and Gold members of the airline's loyalty program, Skywards.
Located in Terminal 2 (International Departures) and situated next to Gate 75, Emirates was the first airline to offer an exclusive lounge in the terminal, having first launched theirs in 2010. It is one of the lounges in the airport that offers an extensive menu of complimentary hot and cold gourmet dishes, as well as a full beverage service.

Airbus and Spirit Airlines have agreed a Memorandum of Understanding for the US-based airline to acquire up to 100 A320neo family aircraft. Spirit announced its intention to place firm orders for a mix of A319neos, A320neos, and A321neos to meet its future fleet requirements.
Featuring the widest single-aisle cabin in the sky, the A320neo family, comprising the A319neo, A320neo, and A321neo, delivers a reduction of at least 20 percent fuel burn as well as 50 percent less noise compared to previous generations of aircraft, thanks to the incorporation of the latest technologies including new generation engines and Sharklets. At the end of September 2019, the A320neo family had received more than 6,650 firm orders from nearly 110 customers worldwide.

Rolls-RoyceRolls-Royce on Thursday unveiled the Pearl 700, the latest addition to its Pearl engine family for business aviation. The purpose-designed engine, the most powerful in the Rolls-Royce business jet propulsion portfolio, is the exclusive powerhouse of the brand new Gulfstream G700.
The Pearl 700 was first introduced in 2018, when it marked the seventh new civil aerospace engine introduced by Rolls-Royce within a decade.
