Ma Fuyun, 69, has cycled more than 160,000 kilometers - equivalent to circling the Earth four times - since her first riding tour in 2006.

Ma, who lives in Jinan, East China's Shandong Province, lost her husband many years ago and began long-distance riding soon after she retired in 2006. 

She has ridden her bike to Southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region eight times.

Ma told btime.com that her first tour of Tibet in 2009 started in Jinan and ended in Nepal.

Ma, who appears in the video to be far younger and in excellent shape, said her  northernmost ride took her to China's most northerly town in Heilongjiang Province, and her southernmost ride was to the southern tip of Hainan Province.

Throughout her rides, Ma has kept a journal that has filled multiple notebooks in which she has written more than 50,000 Chinese characters. Ma still keeps all the bikes she has used and each has its own story. "I have seven sports bikes and they are all my treasures," Ma said.

Some Sina Weibo users want Ma to publish her travel notes. "They must be very interesting," wrote a fan.
