The developer of a high-rise residential compound in Changsha, Central China's Hunan Province has pulled up the blue plastic covering that outlined promised ponds and appears set to pave the area with bricks, according to videos posted online by Pear Video.
Homebuyers in a new residential development in Tianxin District, Changsha, picked up their keys last week and were shocked to discover the sea-blue plastic had been removed and the developer has no intention of turning the areas into fish-filled ponds.
The developers had promised the interior of the community would include a large green space and a "park lifestyle," said a homeowner in the video.
The real estate developers said they never actually promised ponds in the community's common area.
"The developers promised they would restore the green space, but they haven't told us when they will start," a homeowner said.
