A group of well put-together men born in the 1950s are making a name for themselves as dashing fashionistas in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.
The 11 dapper dons, who hire themselves out as male models, are seen strutting their stuff along the street wearing black trench coats, matching fedoras and harmonizing ties in a Pear Video.
The men all look fit and most are over 180 centimeters tall.
The enthusiastic men are all retirees and continue to train at a model school and put on a show from time to time.
"I used to be very self-conscious, but now I've become much more confident when walking a runway," one of the men said.
Their part-time avocation also motivates them to maintain a healthy lifestyle and stay in shape. Presenting themselves as handsome, well put-together active men with style is quite rare in a country where older men are encouraged to do a lot of resting.
The Chongqing men may have been inspired by Wang Deshun, an 80-year-old Chinese model who gained fame for showing off his muscular chest on a topless catwalk during China Fashion Week in 2016.
"You don't need to be young to make it," Wang said.
