A blockchain pilot zone in South China's Hainan pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) signed an agreement involving strategic cooperation with Dubai Blockchain Center on Wednesday, to help the latter build digital cities and improve government efficiency, news site chinanews.com said.
An international services and operation platform was also launched in the blockchain pilot zone on the same day, as Hainan moves to speed up the blockchain innovation.
It will help facilitate the construction of the Hainan FTZ with free flows of personnel, goods and capital, as well as convenient flows of data, using blockchain and big data technology supported by domestic software and hardware systems such as the FeiTeng central processing unit and the Kirin chip.
