Many netizens are incredulous about a doctor and his patient's explanation for why he inserted 18-centimeter-long glass bottle in his rectum that had to be surgically removed.  

The man, 60, went to a hospital in Dongguan, South China's Guangdong Province, complaining he was bloated as he had "put something up there by accident," said Doctor Lin Jun, who treated the man.

The patient told Lin that the areas around his anus was itchy, so he used the glass bottle to scratch and poke the itch he couldn't reach, Lin said in a video posted online by Knews. An x-ray seen in the video shows what resembles a bear bottle reaching almost to the man's intestines. 

"He is unable to fart or poop because of the bottle, and you could feel it by touching his belly," Lin said in the video. 

It's not known why the doctor exposed the man's predicament on Chinese social media, where the Knews report received 5 million views and thousands of comments from netizens who didn't believe the man was only trying the scratch an itch, suggesting the man use the bottle for sexual gratification.
