China's cute, snub-nosed Golden Monkeys continue to thrive despite snowy weather that has blanketed their habitat in Central China's Hubei Province.
The furry, protected primate, which lives in Shennongjia, a mountainous area covered by coniferous forests, has been getting human assistance during winter months for a number of years.
Local conservation authorities leave feasts of fruit and green leaves to supplement the diet of packs of monkeys that roam the area, according to a video posted on Weibo by Shanghai Morning Post.
A survey of the region's monkey conducted on Friday, shows the population has jumped by almost 200 since 2005 to reach 1,471.
The video shows the monkeys doing normal monkey kinds of things like picking nits from one and another's fur, and swinging from tree branches, but netizens said they also break the stereotype of monkeys in the jungle.
The Golden Monkeys have a heavy golden fur coat that surrounds their petite facial features that are blue.
