Students at a university in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi Province are being teased for predetermining the chances of success on an upcoming examine on the theory of probability.
Some unidentified students, who apparently suffer no irony deficiency, built a coffin and grave stone out of snow. Other superstitious students said the snow sculpture surely portends certain failure on this weekend's exam on the theory of probability, which states the outcome of a random event cannot be determined before it occurs.
Snow sculptures were seen all around the campus at Taiyuan University of Technology following Sunday's dump of snow, but it appears the snow coffin was seen as the most audacious and got the most attention.
In a video circulated on social media, a number of students who were already worried about passing the exam, shuddered at the snow coffin, suggesting it was a bad omen that only made their chances of getting a passing grade worse.
