The second season of Sohu TV's streaming drama Well-Intended Love ended on Thursday, kicking off a hot topic about its stars Xu Kaicheng, Yi Bochen and Wang Shuang on Chinese social media.

The official Sina Weibo account for the 16-episode streaming drama has 420,000 followers and has been pushing a number of topics relevant to the drama. On Douyin, or TikTok, it has received millions of likes from viewers.

On Sohu TV, the second season has earned more than 500 million views and also helped push the previous season past the 700 million mark.

As part of the site's efforts to produce mid-to-small-budget dramas, the second season keeps the original characters while adding new stories, similar to US dramas.
