Researchers apply adjustments to horse populations to achieve better preservation in Xinjiang

Przewalski's horses are seen at the Xinjiang Wild Horse Breeding and Research Center in Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, June 2, 2020. Przewalski's horses are the only surviving horse subspecies which has never been domesticated. In China, they are mainly found in Xinjiang's Junggar Basin. Researchers at the Xinjiang Wild Horse Breeding and Research Center have applied multiple adjustments to the horse populations in order to avoid close inbreeding and achieve better preservation of the horse breed.
