Central China's Wuhan in Hubei Province has collected over 80,000 environmental samples in a month, all of which have tested negative for COVID-19.
The Wuhan Health Commission announced on Sunday that the city's centers for disease prevention and control (CDC) have been sampling and testing environmental samples in supermarkets, farmer's markets and public toilets for 30 consecutive days since June 13.
A total of 720 supermarkets, 1,354 farmer's markets, five aquatic products import and export trading companies, 15 medical institutions, 36 sewage treatment plants, and 706 public toilets were sampled and tested, and all 80,130 environmental samples tested negative.
