A documentary named The Grand Parade, which documents the military parade held on October 1, 2019 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, will be released on August 1 - China's Army Day.
The trailer for the documentary produced by the August First Film Studio was released on Tuesday on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo. Chinese netizens expressed their pride and excitement on social media, as they said they couldn't wait to see the film.
The one-minute trailer features many impressive scenes from the parade, including members of the different armed services such as the PLA Air Force and PLA Navy marching in uniform in front of the Tiananmen Rostrum and a large number of attendees waving China's national flag and singing to wish the country a happy birthday.
Advanced weaponry such as the KJ-2000 early warning aircraft and the GJ-11 stealth attack drone were also displayed in the trailer.
The images of these weapons once again aroused the excitement of Chinese netizens, many of whom noted they were amazed by the country's military strength and determination to safeguard world peace.
"The trailer reminds me of the grand parade. It made me excited for a long time. China's military power is constantly increasing!" one netizen commented on Sina Weibo.
"I had no chance to watch the parade in 2019 and regretted it so much, but this documentary can make up for that. I can tell that through the trailer and I am looking forward to seeing the full movie," another netizen wrote.
The documentary will be broadcast on the movie channel of China Central Television and other video platforms for free on China's Army Day on August 1, the People's Daily reported.
