A: Recently, Shanghai has reported nine cases of imported Dengue fever. It is really scary.  

最近上海报告9例输入性登革热病例,真的是太吓人了。

B: What sickness is that? Is it infectious?  

这个是什么病？有传染性吗？

A: Dengue fever is mainly spread through bites from Aedes mosquitoes. The main symptoms are fevers, head aches, stomachaches, muscle pains and joint pain. Since this disease is passed by Aedes mosquitoes, it is seasonal, mainly May to November with the peak being July to September. 

登革热病毒主要通过伊蚊叮咬传播,主要症状是发热、头痛、胃痛、肌肉痛或关节痛。由于本病系由伊蚊传播,故流行有一定的季节性,一般在每年的5到11月份,高峰在7到9月份。

B: It sounds really scary. Even mosquitoes are coming to pick on human beings. From now on, I'll pay more attention to avoiding getting bit by mosquitoes at home.
