Palestine reports 596 new COVID-19 cases

Palestine on Thursday announced 596 new COVID-19 cases in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip, raising the total number of infections to 31,929.

Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila also confirmed five new deaths from coronavirus infection, bringing the death toll in the Palestinian territories to 189.

Al-Kaila added that the Palestinian territories currently have 10,070 active cases, as 21,670 patients have recovered from the disease.

Meanwhile, the Hamas-run Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip warned of an increase in the infections among the population because the residents do not follow the precautionary instructions.
