China's National Family Sailing Race came to an end in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu Province on Sunday, with Team Houlang winning the Hobie Getaway event while Team Qiyue claimed the Hobie T2 race.

The two-day amateur race attracted more than 40 families to participate in the tournament, with the contestants ranging from seasoned sailing enthusiasts to novices.

"Since last year when Suzhou hosted its maiden family sailing race, more and more people have taken chances to learn how to go yachting here on Taihu Lake," said Shao Zhijia, Suzhou's sailing chief, on the sport's popularity in the lakeside city as the Taihu region in Suzhou has become a water sports park.
