An exhibition will bring more than 140 artworks from 80 international artists to the island province of Hainan in 2021, the exhibition's curators announced on Tuesday.
Starting from February 8, 2021, the Ocean Flower Island Museum in Danzhou, South China's Hainan Province, will kick off the Tides of the Century exhibition, which will showcase various works from international artists and bring art to local residents.
Among the lineup of artists are renowned names like Tony Cragg from the UK, Japanese artist Tatsuo Miyajima and Theo Triantafyllidis from Greece, the exhibition's guest country.
The exhibition also sees the debut of Mexican artist Gabriel Dawe's new work Rainbow as well as an installation work from French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot.
According to exhibition curator Wang Chunchen, the Youth Residence section will see six young and promising artists - Cai Yaling, Yue Yanna, Li Linlin, Hu Qingyan, Tian Xiaolei, and Li Yuanchen - work on topics and themes including environmental protection, consumerism and natural environment,
The exhibition is scheduled to run until December 8, 2021.
