"The most important lesson I have from work is you must put your mind where you are today. I do not look back at things because in that way, it makes me happy," said Sandy Murray, general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Beijing.

Murray has over 30 years experience working in hospitality with Hilton Worldwide. With his great expertise, vision, and passion in the industry, he leads his team at DoubleTree by Hilton Beijing to continually provide a higher level of DoubleTree's warm and caring service to both business and leisure customers.

"Every manager has his unique management philosophy. In terms of me, I never try to change people. Your environment shapes you positively or negatively - from my arrival in this city I felt the energy and culture of a truly international city. I look forward to managing this team to achieve their full potential and encourage them to become themselves."

"I like people to feel that they can make the change happen. Because in some organizations, they all look to the leaders to make the huge changes. While, actually, no one single change is going to make the business better. It is going to be a thousand little things that have to happen to grow the business," said Murray.

In daily life, Murray is a unique person who loves simple, tasteful and beautiful things. He loves handicrafts like paintings and fine wood furniture. In his spare time, he usually goes to places with cultural richness like the 798 Art Zone.

Commenting on the future, Murray vowed that he and his team will be committed to providing the most comfortable service and making customers' memories unforgettable.
