Photographer Alexander Perov closely captured the amazing moment a 160ft-tall iceberg collapsing off the west coast of Greenland in Disko Bay recently, but the awe soon turned into panic as the cracking sets off tsunami-like waves.
The boat crew had to speed off to avoid the danger of being devoured by the waves.
“It was unexpected. We were just three people on board a small boat and we would not normally approach an iceberg so close, less than 100 meters away,” the Russian photographer said.
