A gold-leaf teak model of the Temple of Heaven’s Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is exhibited at the National Museum of China in Beijing on October 17, 2017. It took dozens of skilled workers three years to complete the replica. The sculpture is gilded with three layers of gold leaf, and built with traditional Chinese mortise and tenon joinery.
