Construction of a living sculpture in the shape of the Great Wall is underway in Tiananmen Square, Beijing, ahead of celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the victory of WWII. The structure made of plants imbedded in framework is planned to be completed before August 25.

Ahead of the parade, Chang'an Avenue will also be decorated with 200 groups of potted flowers and an elaborate flower display covering 25,000 square meters, according to China News Service.

Workers will also set up temporary bleachers for the military parade on September 3 along Chang'an Avenue.
