The premiere of the film Great Cold was held Wednesday at Jianchuan Museum in Southwest China's Sichuan Province on the occasion of 91st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army. The film, which highlights the tragic experiences of “comfort women” in North China’s Shanxi Province and exposes atrocities of the Japanese army during the Second World War, will be released in theatres on August 14. The 127 local wartime slaves documented in the movie have all passed away, according to Zhang Shuangbing, who spent more than three decades recording the lives of the victims. Photos: Li Hao/GT
