A brigade of the 83rd Group Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army held a pre-departure ceremony in Zhengzhou, Central China’s Henan Province, on September 5, 2018, for the soldiers of the Chinese peacekeeping forces who will depart to Wau, South Sudan, on a one-year peacekeeping mission. While in Wau, the ninth batch of peacekeeping troops to South Sudan will assist in various projects that include building and maintaining roads, bridges, airports, and water and power facilities.
