Chinese military personnel from the PLA Support Base in Djibouti conducted joint medical exercises with the Spanish Navy in the Gulf of Aden on December 1. For the first time, helicopters were deployed to land the wounded at the base. The exercise has further improved the capacity for humanitarian efforts in the region and enhanced cooperation between the base and the Spanish Navy.
