Editor's Note:
After the prolonged Spring Festival holiday, Monday marked the first working day for most businesses and organizations in Beijing. However, as the country continues to reel under the novel coronavirus outbreak fewer commuters thronged the subway than usual days. The otherwise busiest CBD area was filled with an air of quietude. Cars were mandated to undergo disinfection at the entrance of parking lots. The reception staff of offices, wearing a protective suit, screened the employees' temperature and noted down as a record.(Photos: Lihao/GT)
