Editor's Note:
Some shops along the Nanjing West Road in Shanghai resumed their business on Monday, while parks and other public spaces like Jing'an Temple remain closed. The city wears a blanket of silence, barring a few people and vehicles, the usual city bustle is absent from the streets. Employees are mandated to get their temperature screened and present the notice of "approval of work resumption," before entering the office premises. Only six persons are allowed at a time inside office elevators.(Photos: Yang Hui/GT)
